Day 1 ~ Arrive Placencia:Meet and Greet on arrival at the Belize International
Airport. Connect to a short commuter flight to Placencia, south of Belize City. Transfer to your selected hotel. (Accommodation, Placencia)

Day 2 ~ Placencia: Explore the world's first jaguar preserve. Our experience guide will lead you through the hiking trails, pointing out medicinal plants and herbs, animal life and habitats. You can also swim under the waterfall and go river tubing.

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife (Jaguar) Preserve - The Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary spreads more than 160 square miles of rugged gullies and steep slopes - all carpeted by rainforest. Here jaguar, ocelots, pumak, tapir and other exotic
animals roam freely in a well-managed nature reserve. There is only one Jaguar Preserve in the world, and you will have the opportunity to actually walk among these primary forests, habitat to our great cats. Your guide will be on constant watch for signs of fresh tracks as you trek through the Preserve, watching and
waiting for a sight of one of these magnificent creatures.

Day 3 ~ Placencia: Enjoy a day of leisure, or arrange an optional tour.

Day 4 ~ Placencia to Cayo District: Transfer by minivan 3 hours to the
Cayo District to the lively little town of San Ignacio, situated between the Macal and Mopan Rivers. Overnight at your selected hotel.

Day 5 ~ Cayo District: Visit the ancient Maya city of Xunantunich for an opportunity to view original carved monuments depicting Maya rulers and warriors in their full regalia and journey 130 feet to the top of “El Castillo” to capture a panoramic view of the Belize River Valley. Then continue to Barton Creek Cave in
Amish territory. Gently paddle your canoe into Xibalba (she-bal-ba), Maya for underworld. You will be dazzled by the glistening crystalline formations and awed
by the Maya artifacts secretly tucked away in overhead alcoves.

Full-Day Private Xunantunich Maya Temples and Barton
Creek Caves by Canoe -
Xunantunich (Maya for 'Maiden of the Rock' sits just inside the Western border of Belize to nearby Guatemala. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th century hand-cranked ferry which takes you across the Mopan River. The Maya temples are actually located on one of the highest plateaus in the area and it is possible to climb to the top of 'El Castillo', the largest of the temples at this site. From this vantage point, one gains a panoramic view of the Cayo District and nearby Guatemala. Next, we
continue to Barton Creek Cave in Amish territory. Equipped with canoes and high-powered lights we gently paddle into Xibalba (she-bal-ba). As you glide
through the cave system you will be dazzled by the glistening crystalline rock
formations and awed by the Mayan artifacts secretly tucked away in overhead
alcoves.

Day 6 ~ Cayo District: You will have the day at leisure to relax, or book an optional tour. (Accommodation, Cayo District)

Day 7 ~ Cayo District to Ambergris Caye: Mid-morning return transfer via the Western Highway to Belize City. (Note: it is possible to arrange a transfer with a stop for cave tubing and a zipline on the return from San Ignacio to Belize City.) Upon arrival, you will take a short 20 minute commuter flight to the seaside village of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. (Accommodation, Ambergris Caye)

Day 8 ~
Ambergris Caye:  Join us onboard the Sea Symphony, your tour platform for Sea Trek or SNUBA at Mexico Rocks. Sea Trek is the world's premier underwater helmet diving experience where you have an opportunity to walk in zero gravity while surrounded by incredible marine life. No swimming skills or prior snorkel experience required; perfect for 8 to 88 year olds. SNUBA is the opportunity to

Day 9 ~ Ambergris Caye: Free day to explore San Pedro, Ambergris Caye at your leisure. Optional activities include Snorkel, Barrier Reef Dive, or Reef Fishing. (Accommodation, Ambergris Caye)

 Day 10 ~ Depart Ambergris Caye: Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport to fly back to Belize City to connect to your international flight.
